The Co-operative Central Bank cooperates with the co-op movements of many countries and is represented in the main international co-op bodies.
From the international meetings of these bodies that it participates in, it is made aware of the important problems of concern to the international co-op movement and the co-op movements of other countries and acquires rick experience, useful to the further development of the Co-operative Movement of Cyprus.
International Co-operative Alliance (ICA)
The International Co-operative Alliance – ICA was founded on 19 August, 1895. The founding conference was held in London where the main objectives of the Alliance, which are provision of information to members, the establishment and defence of Co-operative Principles and the promotion of international trade, were set out.
Based in Geneva, the ICA is the biggest non-governmental organisation in the world. It is an independent organisation which brings together, represents and serves the national and international co-op movements at international level.

European Co-operative Movement
The European Co-operative Movement represents Europe in the International Co-operative Alliance – ICA.
Its mission is to bring together, represent, promote and defend the Co-operative Movement in Europe, to support and contribute to the development of the co-operative model as well as to help increase the number of co-operative organisations throughout Europe.

International Co-operative Banking Association (ICBA)
The International C-operative Banking Association is the sectoral organisation of the International Co-operative Alliance – ICA. The association’s aim is to reinforce the healthy development, growth and competitiveness of co-operative banks by defending their interests and promoting at world level, their significant contribution to the economic and social wellbeing of the population and of the societies in which they operate.

European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB)
The European Association of Co-operative Banks was founded in 1970 and is one of the main representative bodies of the European co-operative credit sector. It represents the common interests of the co-operative banks and acts as their official representative in European institutions.
